Files from Lyon seem to be empty when having a look at them with km3io.OfflineReader
I wanted to access data from /in2p3/km3net/mc/atm_neutrino/KM3NeT_ORCA_115_23m_9m/v1.0/gSeaGen
in order to analyse it using the km3io.OfflineReader
and then compare it to some data generated using GiBUU instead of gSeaGen but the files there seem to have some problems.
I first copied the files to my home directory on in2p3, extracted them and converted them to AANET format using for example:
icd /in2p3/km3net/mc/atm_neutrino/KM3NeT_ORCA_115_23m_9m/v1.0/gSeaGen
iget elec-CC_1-5GeV_1-50.root.tar.gz
tar -xvf elec-CC_1-5GeV_1-50.root.tar.gz
JConvert -f gSeaGen_elec-CC_1-5GeV_1.root -o gSeaGen_elec-CC_1-5GeV_1.aanet.root
I then copied them to my directory on Woody (using sftp), where I am doing the analysis on a Jupyter Notebook and when I want to have a look at some file, for example:
import km3io as ki
test = ki.OfflineReader("gSeaGen_elec-CC_1-5GeV_1.aanet.root")
print(test.w2list)
print(len(test.mc_tracks.E[:,0]))
The outputs here are:
[]
0
So the problem is, that the files are all empty and it seems that the online files are already having the error. Not sure if the problem is already in the .root - files on in2p3 or comes with the conversion using JConvert.
