Unused recipes in the Makefile

The Makefile produced by the template includes multiple recipes. I see that on the .gitlab-ci.yml file only a few of them are used.

There are a few other recipes that are not currently used in the template, and I can't tell if they are important or not. Are all of these expected to be used in the majority of the projects, or can some of them be removed?

test-loop
flake8
pep8
docstyle
lint
dependencies

BTW, the definition of the last recipe seems to be outdated (same problem as issue #5 (closed) )
