Main changes in v7.4.0:

  • New coordinate systems with origin fixed on the seabed
  • Possibility to move the detector can in water along the Z axis

Some changes in v7.2.0:

  • the option to reduce CORSIKA verbosity has been added (needed for low-E simulation)
  • propagation in water has been split into two steps: from sea to the can top height, then until the can is reached/missed.
  • aside from the previously available option to retry showers from start, now it's possible to retry by re-shifting at the can top height (saving time on unnecessary propagation)
  • the -rt proj option now samples muons on the curved (taking into account Earth curvature) sea surface (before: volume above and below this surface)
  • fDistaMax calculation and inputs has been throughly revised
  • more information about CORSIKA settings has been added to the header
  • lateral deflection of the muons is now evaluated from the 2D fit in initial muon energy and distance to be travelled (sampled using PROPOSAL).
  • native root output for CORSIKA is now available
  • --muon-range-tolerance option was added to allow muons with a low chance of reaching the can to still be propagated (needed for low-E simulation)
  • a number of important bugfixes, corrections and performance improvements have been added

  • changed the default maximal number of records read from CORSIKA files to 0
  • corrected the nuclear mass formula in GSeaCORSIKAFileFlux::CorsikaRestMass to include nuclei with odd mass numbers, e.g. Helium-3
